What a wonderful start to our second grade year!
The smiles warmed my heart as the back to school jitters were soon replaced with growing confidence, camaraderie and joyful learning.

Getting to know each other:
The children were asked the question, "Who are you?" They were challenged to think further about the attributes that made them different, special and unique. These were collated and they then drew pictures depicting their hobbies, interests, likes, families, pets, beliefs and favourite things. This was followed by a writing activity. Some of the delightful written comments included, "I am awesome!" "I am a smart boy." "I love, love, loooooove tigers!" "I am funny." "I am learning to be good." "I am a happy girl." "My friends are nice." "I am cool." "I like my family and my teacher." How wonderful to get to know each of my students a little better.
